The Examination is being conducted as per the new curriculum under pedagogical scheme
[G.O. (Rt) No. 4010/98/G.Edn dated 17-10-1998].
The T.T.C Examination under new scheme has been discontinued. Failed candidates under this scheme are allowed to appear for the corresponding subjects under the pedagogical course as stated below. Such candidates should remit Rs. 20 in addition to the examination fee to meet the cost of a new T.T.C Book.
The Subjects of the Course are-
(1) Theoretical basis of modern education
(2) Educational psychology and child development - Paper I
(3) Regional language (Malayalam/Tamil/Kannada)
(4) English
(5) Mathematics
(6) General Science
(7) Social Science
Full Course and Compartmental Appearance
(a) The first appearance of a candidates for the examination should be as full course
candidates for all subjects in the new scheme.
(b) Candidates who have failed in any one of the subjects under the new scheme are allowed to appear for the failed subjects only as compartmental candidates.
Registration of Candidates for the Examination
(a) School Candidates:- The trainees who are appearing for the examination towards the close of their academic year treated as school candidates.
(b) Private Candidates for theory paper only :- All candidates who have already appeared for the examination but failed to secure a pass in the examination and now appearing again are treated as private candidates.
(c) Private candidates for practical examination also :- The private candidates who are
appearing for both II year theory and practical examination and the II year school candidates who are appearing simultaneously for I year, should hand over his/her application form duly filled up along with their T.T.C books and examination fees to the head of the Training Institute where he/she has undergone training . A and B lists relating to the above categories of candidates should be got prepared and forwarded to the Chief Superintendent as in the case of school candidates. The names of private candidates who had attended the community leaving camp during the last vacation should also be included in the A and B lists even if they have not submitted their application.
(d) The candidates who have undergone training in full and secured minimum of 85 percent of attendance by the end of February as required under Rule 7 (2) Chapter VII of K.E.R alone are eligible to appear for the examination. However necessary condonation for the shortage of attendance up to the prescribed minimum can be obtained from the competent authority concerned. Even when they countersign the application of a private candidate this aspect has to be examined in case his
appearance for the examination is for the first time.

Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Eligible Communities including Kudumbies and X'ian converts from among them are exempted from payment of examination fees for two appearances, provided the second chance is within a period of three years from the first appearance for the examination.
Examination fees received from candidates in one centre should be remitted in one chalan for each item in the Treasury, in the name of Headmaster under the Head of Account 0202-01-102-99- Examination fee.
Cost of Additional Volume of T.T.C Books
The candidates whose certificates have no further page to enter the Public Examination marks should pay the cost of an additional volume of T.T.C Book of RS 20 to the institute along with the examination fee. Candidates who are appearing under the existing scheme and who are in possession of duplicate copies of their certificates should also remit the cost of another volume of the T.T.C Book. The Head of the Institute should remit such amount in a separate chalan under the head of account '0202-01-102-99 - Examination fees' and forward the chalan receipt along with a statement containing the list of candidates who required fresh books or additional books as the case may be.
Application form for Private Candidates
(a) Printed application forms are not available and therefore will not be supplied. The form should be exactly similar in every respect of the form furnished in the Notification. The entries should be carefully filled up by the candidates in their own handwriting and each such applications with fee and the T.T.C Book should be handed over to the Head of the school selected as the centre for the
examination.
(b) The Headmasters and the candidates should note that the application forms as prescribed in the notification will be accepted and in case any other form is used it will be summarily rejected and the Department cannot be held responsible for any loss to the party on this account.
Return of T.T.C Books
(a) The T.T.C Books will be sent to the Chief Superintendent concerned immediately after the publication of the results of the examination . The T.T.C books of the school candidates should be collected from the Chief Superintendents and distributed to the candidates by the Heads of Training Schools concerned after obtaining proper acknowledgment.
(b) The T.T.C Books not claimed from the Headmaster or from the Chief Superintendent of the Centre within a period of three months from the date of publication of the result should be returned to the Secretary to the Commissioner for Government Examinations. Such certificates will be issued to the candidates through the concerned Headmaster on payment of penalty fee as detailed below:
(i) Penalty fee for the certificates not claimed RS 5
by the candidates within 3 months after the
publication of the examination result upto five years
(ii) Penalty fee if the certificates are not claimed within
5 years upto 10 years RS 10
(iii) Penalty fee if certificates claimed after 10 years RS 25

Scrutiny of valued answer scripts
Application from candidates in the forms prescribed for scrutiny of valued answer scripts will be accepted within 15 days from and including the date of publication of result. The fee for scrutiny at the rate of RS 5 per paper should be remitted in the name of the candidate in to the Treasury under the head '0202-01-102-92' - Other receipts' and the orginal chalan attached to the application.
Application form candidates for revaluation of their answer script in theory part will be accepted on the following conditions:
(a) Application for revaluation should be submitted within 15 days from the date of publication of results.
(b) Revaluation fee will be RS 250 for every paper and remitted under the head of account '0202-01-102-92 - other receipts' in the name of the candidates.
(c) Revaluation will be done by two different examiners not below the ranks of an Additional Chief Examiner.
(d) If there is a difference of 10 percent or more (of the maximum) between the orginal mark and the average marks given by the two examiners on revaluation, then the average marks given in revaluation will be taken as the mark of the candidate.
(e) If the difference between the orginal and the average marks given on revaluation is less than 10 percent of the maximum marks, the marks obtained in the orginal valuation will remain unchanged.
(f) In case where the marks are altered on revaluation as provided for in term (d) above, the amount of fee remitted will be refunded to the candidates concerned after deducting RS 5 per paper as handling charges.

HOW TO APPLY
Eligible applicants would be required to apply Online (on the Internet) only through the link ‘Apply Online’ on ONGC’s website: www.ongcindia.com. No other mode of application shall be accepted.
1. Before registering/submitting their applications on the website the candidates should possess the following:
a) Valid E-mail ID.
b) A facility to take Printout of the Challan form and Registration Slip.
2. The candidate can access the online application form at www.ongcindia.com. The online registration site would be open from 1000 hours on April 30, 2010 to 2000 hours on May 21, 2010.
3. All correspondence with candidates shall be done through E-mail only. All information regarding examination schedule/admit card/interview call letters etc. shall be provided through E-mail. Responsibility of receiving, downloading and printing of admit card/ call letter shall be that of the candidate. ONGC will not be responsible for any loss of E-mail sent, due to invalid/wrong E-mail ID provided by the candidate or delivery of Emails to spam/bulk mail folder etc.
4. Online Application and Payment methodology of non refundable registration fee of Rs. 500/- for General / OBC Candidates and Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/Physically Challenged candidates, will be available on online application site. Non refundable registration Fee is to be deposited in ONGC Powerjyoti A/C Number 30827318409 of SBI. Payment is to be made as per the designated process only.
5. Fee is non-refundable. No other mode of payment would be accepted. Instruments like Demand Draft/ Banker Cheques/ IPO, online transfer of money into ONGC account etc received towards payment of non refundable registration fee will NOT be returned to applicants.
6. Departmental candidates would also be required to deposit the applicable registration fee. However, the same would be reimbursable.
7. Candidate is to send the envelope containing the original registration slip, recent photograph (size 3.5 x 4.5 cms with white background) affixed and signed, signature in the space provided along with ONGC’s copy of the challan with bank seal and a self attested copy of Caste/ Disability certificate (for reserved category only) superscribed with GT-2010 (Discipline) & GEN/OBC/SC/ST/PC/Departmental as the case may be, by ORDINARY POST (since post box do not accept registered posts ) to PO Box No. 453, Basavanagudi, Head Post Office, Bangalore- 560 004 so as to reach latest by May 28, 2010. ONGC will not be responsible for any postal delay/loss.
8. Departmental candidates have to send an attested copy of their Identity Card along with other documents to the designated PO Box.

F: Written Test Centers
The written test will be conducted at following cities:
1. Ahmedabad 2. Chennai 3. Delhi 4. Guwahati 5. Hyderabad 6. Kochi 7. Kolkata 8.Mumbai9. Ranchi.
Candidates have to choose one of these cities as Test Centre and no change will be allowedsubsequently. However, ONGC reserves the right to change any of the above mentioned testcities at its discretion.
G: GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
(a) The courses offered by Autonomous Institutions should be equivalent to the relevant courses approved/recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU)/UGC/AICTE.
(b) Final year/ semester students who expect their results on or before the interviews, likely to be held in July 2010, may also apply for the posts.
(c) Reservation for Physically Challenged (PC) as per PWD Act, 1995.
(d) Before applying the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned in the advertisement.
(e) No manual/ paper application will be entertained.
(f) Candidature of the registered candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment process or after recruitment or joining if any information provided by the candidate is found false or is not found in conformity with eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement.
(g) Eligible SC/ST/PC candidates called for written test will be reimbursed second class rail / bus fare by the shortest route, on production of railway ticket / number or bus ticket (candidates opting for examination city other than the city nearest from mailing address will not be paid TA).
(h) Requests for change of mailing address, examination centre / category / discipline as declared in the application, will not be entertained. However, ONGC reserves the right to cancel or add any centre depending on the response in that area/centre.
(i) Registration slip should not have any enclosure except the Challan copy and SC/ST/PC certificate/ Copy of ID card (for departmental candidates) as applicable.
(j) The Print out of registration slip should be untampered (No Photocopies are allowed). In case of any overwriting or tampering of Registration slip, the candidature of the candidate shall be rejected.
(k) Candidates should retain the copy of their Challan and Registration Slip for future reference.
(l) The candidatesare required to deposit the applicable non refundable registration fee, as indicated in payment methodology on web site, at any branch of State Bank of India. Candidature of candidates making deposition of sub denomination fee or depositing fee through any mode other than prescribed method, submitting photocopies of Registration Slip/ Challan Slip or any other discrepancy will be rejected.
(m) Candidates in employment of Public Sector undertaking/ Govt. service will be required to produce No Objection Certificate at the time of interview.
(n) Court of Jurisdiction for any dispute will be New Delhi.
(o) Departmental candidates will be allowed relaxation in age as per existing rules.
(p) An application once made will NOT be allowed to be withdrawn and the fee once paid will NOT be refunded on any account nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection process.

1. The number of posts indicated above may vary based on further assessment of requirement.

JBT COMMON ENTRANCE TEST FOR BATCH 2009-11
Consequent upon the decision of the Government of H.P. to conduct the “Common Entrance Test” for admission to Two Years Junior Basic Training Course” (batch 2009-2011), the said test shall be conducted by the Board on 27th June, 2010 for filling up of 1651 seats in 12 DIETs. The recruitment and appointment for this batch will be on State Cadre basis. The last date for receipt of application forms in the Board’s office from all the candidates belonging to non-tribal areas shall be 2nd March, 2010 and for candidates belonging to tribal areas it shall be 17th March, 2010. The Board shall not be responsible for any postal delay.
RESERVATION:
Reservation to the reserved categories shall be available as per the rules of the Government of Himachal Pradesh.
All the seats are reserved for bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERION:
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION FOR JBT CET:
The minimum essential educational qualifications for CET is Senior Secondary School Certificate or Intermediate or 10+2 or its equivalent examination with at least 50% marks for non graduates and 45% marks for graduates. However, for the purpose of computing percentage of marks, the candidates with at least 49.5% and 44.5% in 10+2 or its equivalent examination for non graduates and graduates respectively shall be eligible to apply and appear for the JBT CET 2009-2011. The candidates who would be appearing in the qualifying examination but whose results would be declared later on can also apply but their eligibility for the said Entrance Test will be purely provisional subject to the condition that they have to produce passing certificate scoring the percentage at least prescribed thereto in the qualifying examination on the day of counseling.
AGE LIMIT:
The age limit shall be 17-28 years as on 31.12.2009 for all candidates. Relaxation in upper age limit shall be available as per the rules of the Government of Himachal Pradesh.
The following conditions will also be applicable to the candidates of Two Years Course/Session 2009-2011:-
1. 90% attendance would be necessary in the JBT training course.
2. 45% will be the pass marks in JBT Examinations of the 1st Year and 2nd Year.
3. Merit and seniority will be on the basis of the marks secured in the JBT pass course.
4. In case the trainees take leave on medical grounds/maternity purpose then the training may be extended by the duration of leave taken.
5. During the training the candidates would not pursue any other Educational course/study either regular or through distance mode.
6. Since contractual appointment will be considered after passing of JBT course and subject to permission to fill up vacancies, hence, no bond will be executed to serve in the Education Department.
7. After successful completion of JBT Course as above conditions, the candidates are eligible for employment against vacant posts of JBT teacher in Elementary Education Department. Actual appointment will be based on vacancies and necessary approvals to fill the posts. As per present policy fresh appointments are being made on contract.
APPLICATION FORM:
The Information Brochure containing Application Form shall be available from 08.2.2010 to 02.3.2010 on the Sale Book Depots of the Board in the State and all offices of the Sub Divisional Magistrates in Himachal Pradesh against cash payment of Rs.250/- inclusive of fee for the Entrance Examination.
